* Newcastle Falcons won their most recent game at home against Gloucester in the Premiership (22-10 in January 2021) but haven’t won consecutive matches at home against them since January 2009 – December 2011 when they won four in a row.

* Gloucester are undefeated in their last five away games in the Premiership (W4 D1) and will try to remain unbeaten in six consecutive games on the road for the first time ever in the competition.

* Newcastle Falcons have scored fewer than 10 points in each of their last two Premiership games but haven’t had a longer such run in the competition since November – December 2013 when they failed to reach double figures in four consecutive matches.

* Newcastle Falcons have won 6.5 scrums per game, the second highest average of any team in the Premiership in 2021/22, only behind Harlequins (7.7); Harlequins (96%) are also the only team to have a better scrum success rate than Newcastle (94%) this season.

* Gloucester have made 157 tackles per game in the Premiership in 2021/22, the most of any team; they have made 41 more tackles per game than Newcastle Falcons in the league this season (116).

* Gloucester have scored 96% of their penalty kicks in the Premiership this season (23/24), the best rate of any team; however, only London Irish have missed more conversions (15) than the Cherry and Whites in the league this term (12).

* Gloucester have gained 348 metres with their maul in the Premiership this season, over 100m more than any other team, scoring 14 tries in the process, no other team has reached double figures for maul tries in 2021/22.

* Mike Brown (Newcastle) has averaged 12.1 carries per game in the Premiership this season, Tyrone Green (12.3) is the only back to make more in the league this campaign (min. 3 appearances); only two backs have beaten more defenders per game than the Falcons fullback (3.8, behind Duhan van der Merwe – 4.9 and Kyle Rowe – 3.9).

* Gloucester’s Lewis Ludlow has made the most tackles of any player in the Premiership this season (170); Ludlow has also won a total of 11 turnovers, the second-most in the league in 2021/22, behind Harlequins’ Andre Esterhuizen (12).
