Goneva flying high in Opta stats
The Fijian flyer beat 12 defenders during the Falcons’ 16-14 home win over Gloucester, playing an instrumental role in the fightback which saw his side snatch a dramatic late victory.
Goneva was also second in the Premiership for offloads (5), third for metres made (140) and joint third with club-mate Kyle Cooper for carries (19).
The winger remains second in the season-long stats for metres made, having carried the ball 1,391 metres, a total of 298 more than third-placed Christian Wade.
Goneva and his Falcons-team mates travel to his former club Leicester Tigers in Saturday’s Aviva Premiership action, with the 3pm kick-off being shown live on BT Sport.
