Greggs Tackling Health scheme hits local schools
Featuring both classroom and on-field sessions, the six-week scheme combines tag rugby activity and healthy eating lessons, ranging from the eatwell guide, to a player’s menu, food hygiene and a balanced diet.
Schools taking part have included North Fawdon Primary, Stanley Crook Primary, The Grove, Brook Street Primary, Mountfield Primary, Westgatehill Primary, Pennine Way primary, West Cornforth and Bridgewater Primary.
Due to covid restrictions we have been unable to run a festival this half term, but all participating schools have shown a great enthusiasm for both the rugby sessions and healthy eating lessons.
