KINGSTON PARK GEARS UP FOR THUNDER V HULL KR CLASH
Thunder, who are gearing up for the start of their Co-operative Championship 1 campaign, welcome a Hull KR outfit eager to improve on their tenth placed finish in Super League last term.
Tickets for the game are priced at just £10 adults and £5 concessions.
Gateshead’s managing director Keith Christie said: “We have been very fortunate and it has taken a lot of hard work to get this game to go ahead.
“Once again, our friends at the Falcons have allowed us to use their pitch, and hopefully get some of the scoring prowess they have shown so far this season and Hull have agreed to travel to us!
> We want Rugby fans of both codes to come along to see what promises to
> be a brilliant game. We’d love to have a huge crowd from the North
> East.
Head coach Kevin Neighbour is looking forward to the contest, saying: “This is a great way to start off the season and it gives the lads a run out against some of the country’s best players.
“Hull KR are a team I watched a lot of last year and was blown away by their attitude. Just watching the Hull derby at the 2012 Millennium Magic weekend shows how much they are as a team.”
