Latu and Takulua line up for Tonga in Fiji

The clash at ANZ Stadium in the Fijian capital of Suva sees Newcastle’s players’ player of the season joined by club-mate Sonatane Takulua, the Tongans having landed in Fiji on Monday.

They could well be lining up against one of the Falcons’ 10 summer signings, with wing/centre Vereniki Goneva part of the Fiji squad preparing for Saturday’s 3pm local time kick-off (4am UK time).

Latu, Tonga’s most-capped player of all time, told the [**Fiji Times**][1] newspaper: “So far we’re pleased with where we are at the moment.

“For the experienced players it is their wealth of knowledge about the game that counts. I have been playing for Tonga for a very long time, hopefully whatever I can do on the field will get the boys going. We know how important this tournament is.”
