Live County Rugby This Saturday at Kingston Park Stadium

Kingston Park will play host to county level rugby this weekend with a Northumberland double header taking place on the stadium’s main pitch.

Starting with a ladies match which will see the county take on their counterparts form Cumbria (KO 11:45 am) the afternoon will Northumberland will take on Eastern Counties on Saturday May 23rd (KO 14:15)

The match versus Eastern Counties will be the first senior county game to be played on the state of the art pitch at Kingston Park and will be a huge day for Northumberland with a place in the Twickenham play off against the winners of Division 2 South.

With the squad drawn from players across the county and has already included players from the Tynedale, Blaydon, Percy Park, Alnwick and Ponteland clubs along with both Newcastle and Northumbria Universities.

With the County using the event to host a number of the valued volunteers who administer local club rugby below the professional game, the day’s events will be seen as another opportunity to grow the game and increase participation at a local level.

Admission covering, both games, is £5 for adults and £2 for under 14s. County members will be admitted free.
