Marco Fuser enjoys famous Italian victory
Fuser started the game and played the first 50 minutes of the 22-21 triumph at Principality Stadium, joining his team-mates and supporters in joyous scenes upon the final whistle after winning his 37th international cap.
The Azzurri ended a seven-year losing streak in the Guinness Six Nations – a run which stretches back 36 games.
Fuser will now return to Newcastle, where he will be part of the Falcons’ preparations for Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership trip to Wasps.
The Falcons’ next home game will see Fuser’s squad up against a number of his countrymen, as Italian side Zebre Parma travel to Kingston Park Stadium in the EPCR Challenge Cup on Saturday April 9.
