Phillips joins Legends ranks
Speedster Ollie Phillips has signed up to play in the Falcons Legends v Southern Hemisphere Legends game on October 2nd.
Ollie joined Newcastle Falcons from Durham University back in 2003, having come through the Harlequins academy ranks.
Ollie spent 6 seasons with the club and made 33 premiership appearances for the Falcons.
During his time at Kingston Park, Ollie made a name for himself in the world of sevens by captaining England and in 2009 was awarded the World Rugby Sevens Player of the year. An accolade he shares with the sevens greats such as DJ Forbes, Simon Amor and Cecil Afrika.
Ollie has recently trekked to the North Pole to break the world record for the most northerly rugby match ever played. His adventure raised funds for the Wooden Spoon, who are also our associate charity who will be a beneficiary from funds raised at the Falcons Legends match.
