Jacob joined Newcastle Falcons’ senior academy in the summer of 2023, having been part of the junior academy.
The Barnard Castle Schoolboy captained the Falcons’ Under-18s team, with the England Under-18s international renowned for his ball-carrying and contact work.
A prolific try-scorer for his dual-registration club of Tynedale in 2023-24, Oliver was also capped by England Under-19s that season and went on to form part of the victorious England Under-20s squad in their Junior Six Nations success.
