James Elliott returned for a second spell at Newcastle Falcons in October 2023, joining from Jersey Reds following their financial issues.
The Co. Durham native helped Jersey win the RFU Championship title in 2022-23, and started for the Channel Island outfit when they won away at Bath in the Premiership Rugby Cup.
The Durham City RFC product studied at Leeds Beckett University and was in the Falcons’ senior academy – the England Students international going on to play for Yorkshire Carnegie before spending three seasons with Jersey.
Elliott’s debut for the Falcons came in November 2023 when he started away at Sale Sharks in the Gallagher Premiership, going on to make 10 appearances in a season which was interrupted by a serious foot injury.
