PREMIERSHIP RUGBY 7s – TRAVEL DETAILS FOR SUPPORTERS

Following the decision to switch the venue of the 2014 Premiership Rugby Sevens series to Darlington Mowden Park’s Northern Echo Arena, the club are now able to confirm the travel options for fans attending, including details of the supporters coaches services running from Kingston Park.

**Coaches**

Supporters’ coaches will be running from Kingston Park to The Northern Echo Arena with return travel costing £5 per person. Anyone travelling by coach will be able to park their car at Kingston Park free of charge.

The coaches will depart from Kingston Park at 17:00 with arrival at the Arena scheduled for 18:00, allowing supporters to take full advantage of the facilities on offer at the venue.

Coaches will depart for the return journey to Kingston Park at 22:30 with arrival back expected to be around 11:30

**Rail**

Darlington is regularly served from Newcastle Central station with an on the day return costing £22, cheaper fares are available in advance.

Services from Newcastle are direct via CrossCountry, East Coast and TransPennine Express with up to six departures an hour via these operators.

The final recommend train to reach Darlington in time for the kick off of the tournament is the 18:04 TransPennine service which will arrive at Darlington at 18:38.

Getting back to Newcastle, supporters can use the 22:15 CrossCountry service or the 22:35 or 00:01 East Coast services, with the latter being the final train of the day.

**Road**

The Northern Echo Arena has car parking spaces for 1,400 vehicles and these will be available free and on a first come first served basis for the 7s. The Ground is found on Neasham Road in Darlington adjacent to the A66.

Supporters travelling from the North using the A1, will need to traverse through Darlington town centre to access the ground, or alternatively take the Peircebridge exit from the A1 and double back North, before taking the A66 exit, signposted Darlington. Supporters approaching from the South will be able to access this turn off directly.

Alternatively supporters can use the A19 to the A66 and then follow the signposts to Darlington and then, when in the vicinity of the town, the signs for the Football stadium.
