Robbie Smith to join Northampton Saints
The 23-year-old has made nine first-team appearances since joining from Bedford Blues two years ago, scoring three tries.
Director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Robbie has applied himself really well since joining us, and I am sure he will go well at Northampton.
“In many ways he has been unlucky to play in a position where we have such depth and quality with the likes of George McGuigan, Jamie Blamire, Charlie Maddison and now Ollie Fletcher, who recently made his England Under-20s debut.
“It is obviously sad to lose any good player but at this stage in his career Robbie really needs to be getting regular game time, and hopefully at Northampton he will be able to achieve that.”
