Schools Connections tag rugby festival
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the AK School Connections Tag Rugby Festival at Kingston Park Stadium, welcoming over 220 enthusiastic pupils from 10 schools across the region.
The afternoon was filled with excitement and energy as students participated in a series of lively tag rugby matches, enjoying the perfect weather.
Schools taking part in the festival have been involved in Falcons Community’s School Connections programme, proudly supported by recruitment specialist, AK Teaching.
This event provided an excellent platform for these students to showcase the skills and knowledge they acquired during the sessions at their school.
The School Connections programme not only teaches students about rugby, but also helps them develop a genuine passion for the sport. By fostering this enthusiasm, the programme aims to inspire students to join grassroots clubs and maintain their involvement in rugby long-term.
The festival was a testament to this as pupils eagerly engaged in the matches, displaying both skill and a love for the game.
With support from AK Teaching students can explore a new sport, develop teamwork and build confidence.
