Students help Falcons Bring the Noise
Next Friday Newcastle Falcons will take on Wasps in what looks set to be a world record-breaking Aviva Premiership match.
The club is pleased to announce that two of the region’s universities will be helping to Bring the Noise with a special curtain raiser game.
The Newcastle University Intramural team will take on a Durham Colleges Select XV in the first match of the night, kicking off at 4.30pm next Friday, 20th Feb.
To celebrate the match, Kingston Park will be running a special student game drinks promotion from 5pm until 7.30pm, half an hour before the top flight match begins.
The Falcons are supporting the student game with former Newcastle University player Will Witty leading a coaching session for his old university at Kingston Park this Tuesday night and Durham alumnus Simon Hammersley travelling to Durham to coach his old team mates.
Anyone with a ticket to the Falcons match on Friday night can choose to arrive early and take in both games.
Meanwhile special student tickets are available for only £10 from student sellers throughout both universities as well as from the Durham University Sports Centre or behind the bar at the Shark Club Newcastle, venue for the Falcons’ official post-match after party.
