Support Simon Hammersley in Action Duchenne fundraising
Former Newcastle Falcons fullback Simon Hammersley is running in this year’s Paris Marathon, raising vital funds for the Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity, Action Duchenne.
DMD is a progressive muscle degeneration condition diagnosed in childhood and currently has no cure.
Action Duchenne supports families living with the condition and have a very clear mission of a world where lives are no longer limited by DMD.
Running the marathon alongside his father, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Simon is raising awareness and funds for the incredible charity after his nephew, Edward, was sadly diagnosed with the illness.
Simon who is currently enduring training for the event, has set up a JustGiving page in support of Action Duchenne and we ask that if you are able to, please donate whatever you can to support this fantastic cause.

Hammersley spent five seasons at Newcastle Falcons, making over 100 appearances for the club and scored nine tries.
