Travel update for Big Night Oot 4

Newcastle Falcons take on Leicester Tigers on Friday March 29 in a 7:45pm kick-off as Gallagher Premiership action returns to Kingston Park.

The Big Night Oot 4 fixture will see a bumper crowd with tickets sales flying after over 70 days without a competitive rugby fixture on Tyneside.

Ahead of the fixture we’ve been made aware of some major travel updates for the Good Friday clash, mainly impacting the Nexus Metro service.

The stadium is served by Kingston Park and Bank Foot Metro stations, both of which are a five-minute walk away and on the Airport branch of the Tyne and Wear Metro.

Due to improvement works, there will be NO trains running in both directions between Heworth and South Gosforth – a full breakdown of the closure can be found HERE.

Instead, the replacement bus service 900 will be in operation.

Prior to kick-off, the bus service will be running every six minutes and supporters will be able to jump back on the metro at Regent Centre for the last leg of their journey to either Kingston Park or Bank Foot stations.

A full bus timetable for Heworth to Regent Centre can be found by clicking HERE and please note that a revised timetable will be in place for the South Gosforth – Airport line.

Post-match, a Metro will be running from Kingston Park or Bank Foot to Regent Centre, where the replacement bus service 900 will once again be in operation.

For the fixture there has been an arrangement of NINE additional bus services between 22:00 and 23:00 to ensure supporters are able to complete their journey home.

A full bus timetable for Regent Centre to Heworth can be found HERE.

Tickets are still available for the 7:45pm kick-off and can be purchased HERE. Adult prices start from just £15 and U18s from as little as £7.
