True North Origin is back!
Newcastle Falcons are hosting their True North Origin game on Friday September 13, with a 6pm kick-off at Kingston Park.
The internal showdown sees Falcons players facing off against each other, having been split into four regional groups for the duration of pre-season.
Northumberland and Tyne & Wear will join forces to form the North, taking on a South side comprised of players from the Durham and Cumbria groups.
Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults and FREE for U18s.
Please note that this event is not included on the season ticket, season parking pass or seasonal hospitality packages.
The Kingston Park fanzone will be open and all three new kits will be on sale, with the Falcons building on the success of last year’s True North Origin clash.
There will also be a Junior Falcons activation taking place prior to the fixture and will be open for members from 4pm-5:30pm. Full details will be announced in due course but to ensure you’re signed up today by completing the form below:
Car parking for the fixture is FREE and available on a first come first served basis. Further match-day details will be announced in due course.
Director of rugby Steve Diamond, a proud northerner who has long extolled the virtues of rugby in this part of the world, said: “I think the True North Origin game is a great concept.
“It’s been really useful during pre-season training to split the squad into the four regions, with lads from outside of those areas allocated into one of the groups.
“It’s helped keep the competition high among the squad with regular challenges against each other and an overall league table, and the Origin game itself provides the culmination of that.
“For coaches and supporters alike, it will be fascinating to see the lads going head-to-head, including a first chance to see a lot of our new additions, and I’m sure there’ll be some lively match-ups played out in a great spirit.
“With under-18s getting in for free and adults priced at just a fiver it should hopefully be a good night for our fans, and we really appreciate all the support we’ve been receiving going into the new season.”
