Vacancy: Newcastle Falcons academy backs coach
The role primarily involves working alongside the academy head coach to deliver the junior academy programme with a focus on individual player development.
The post-holder will take a lead role with the U15 and U16 age groups and will also act as a coach development officer and/or take responsibility for overseeing the developing player programme.
**Essential qualities:**
* Experience as a backs coach in rugby with a strong understanding of coaching process.
* Experience working on a player development pathway with adolescent players.
* Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
* Ability to set and maintain high standards of work in a range of environments.
* Organised, efficient and able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Appropriate professional qualifications (minimum RFU Level 2 coaching award or equivalent).
* Enhanced DBS clearance and a full driving licence with access to a car.
