Vereimi Qorowale starts for Army Rugby Union

The 28-year-old joined Newcastle Falcons ahead of the 2022-23 season, signing from the British Army where he was serving as a Rifleman in 2nd Battalion The Rifles (2 RIFLES) in Northern Ireland.

Qorowale has officially featured twice for the Falcons this season, scoring a length-of-the-field try on his home debut against Northampton Saints in the Premiership Rugby Cup.

The Fijian-born flyer also scored four tries in the club’s My Name’5 Doddie fundraiser friendly match against the Southern Knights.

Qorowale starts at outside centre for the Army Rugby Union in the historical fixture against Royal Navy Rugby having impressed on his debut against the RAF. Army Rugby Union secured a comfortable 48-17 victory with Qorowale scoring one try and assisting another.

Taking place at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, May 13 the Army v Navy men’s fixture kicks-off at 2pm.
