Vickers testimonial year starts in style
Rob Vickers’ testimonial year got off to a stylish start on Saturday, as the Falcons stalwart hosted a Fashion & Fizz event at Kingston Park Stadium.
Over 250 guests joined Vickers for afternoon tea and a dazzling display of glamour and high-end fashion as club partner Barbour and Designer Jesmond showcased the very best of their respective collections.
World-renowned South Shields firm Barbour, who have been an official partner of the club since 2013, displayed items from both their ladies and men’s collections, with members of the Newcastle Falcons squad modelling the latter.
A team of models lead by Miss Newcastle 2012 Rachelle Graham took to the runway in Barbour’s ladies items before returning as Designer showcased some of the highlights carried at their Clayton Road boutique.
The event was also generously supported by Bidfood, who ensured all guests enjoyed a plentiful supply of fizz and Bordeaux wine specialist 20h33, who provided the sparkling reception that started the day.
Alongside the exceptional afternoon tea served by the award-winning Kingston Park events team, the ever-entertaining Chris Dakers was on hand to provide live music and conduct proceedings during the three fashion shows.

The next event in the Bobby Vickers Testimonial Year calendar is Bobby’s Big Bash and takes place on March 16. Tickets will be available to book at £50 per person or £450 for a table of ten for an evening combining dinner and entertainment in the company of players past and present.
