Wheelchair Rugby is coming to Tyne & Wear

Wheelchair Rugby is coming to Tyne & Wear with the Falcons Community Foundation supporting two taster days taking place on Saturday 14th October.

Open to any disabled person aged 16 or over, from complete beginners up to pro players, the sessions will be held Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) in Whickham and Killingworth, with coaches from the Foundation also in attendance.

The first session takes place at Whickham School and Sport College on Burnthouse Lane from 11:00 – 12:30, while the second will be held at Percy Hedley Sports Academy on West Lane in Killingworth from 13:30 – 14:30.

The taster events have been arranged through GBWR’s regional development officer Dale Thompson with rugby chairs and coaching provided at both.
